Janet Baxter keeps her post-divorce life neatly compartmentalized Secure job, spacious Westchester County home, successful adult children, dependable community volunteer activities. Why is she drawn—for the first time ever—to attend her twenty-year college reunion in New York City?

Always a free spirit, Brenda Cassidy is comfortably bisexual and has no plans to ever settle down. But a fling? The reappearance of svelte, reserved Janet Baxter in Brenda’s life is nothing less than a gift, worthy of every enticement Brenda can conjure up. Can Brenda seduce Janet into an endless night of the lovemaking they enjoyed too briefly as college roommates? What if the lady wants more?

The Lady Wants More edition by Adriana Kraft Alessia Brio Literature Fiction eBooks

As described by the previous reviewer, Janet and Brenda, who were roommates in college, meet again at their 20 year college reunion. Quite soon it becomes clear to the reader, that these two got along extremely well back then, and are ready to pick up where they left off. The sex scenes are steamy and enjoyable; however, this story aims a little higher than being just straight out porn. Both women, Janet and Brenda, come into this relationship with some emotional baggage, thus struggling with commitment issues. Their thoughts and feelings about these issues are described in minute detail, which I found a little irritating at times. But at the same time, I can really relate to this not being an easy step to take. After all, Janet lives in uppity Westchester County, while Brenda seriously enjoys the independence and freedom of being a single woman in NYC. Being in a serious relationship will inevitably bring some changes for both of them.

After reading this book twice, I decided to give it four stars. I deducted one star for the clumsy approach of bringing Janet’s kids into this. Her son and daughter, both adults who do not live at home anymore, fit so neatly into the story that there is really no point in them being there at all. They don't add anything to the story and I can't really grasp them as characters. It would have been good to work on them a little more. Speaking of working on something a little more, there were also a few spelling mistakes that could have been caught with an additional editing round.

I was also considering the deduction of another star for the terrible cover and the poor choice of title. It just does not go with the content of the story at all. However, since this appears to be a rather subjective opinion, and I want to be fair, I decided against it.

To sum up, this is a good book to read in between.

The Lady Wants More edition by Adriana Kraft Alessia Brio Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Janet is divorced and goes to a college reunion where she meets her old roommate, Brenda. Brenda and Janet shared some steamy nights in college. Both are wondering if they can pick up where they left off. Janet is more inhibited but Brenda is determined to overcome those inhibitions.

I loved these ladies! Brenda is more outgoing and open but Janet gets her way when it is important to her. Building up the sexual tension between these two is the heart of this book. When they finally give in, I was right there with them. They are HOT!!!!

I also enjoyed how often Janet would think of her ex-husband and realize his opinions were not important then she would move on and do what was important to her. Janet worries about her children and their reactions to her and Brenda. When the time comes all her worry is preempted by news from her children. I could feel Janet's letdown at that time.

THE LADY WANTS MORE is a quick read but so well written I did not want it to end. I was so wrapped up in the characters I wanted to see more of them and the development of their futures. Well done!
